Special Presentation: Manufacturing Renaissance Shares Industry & Inclusion 4.0 Strategies

Thanks to Dan Swinney, Founder of Manufacturing Renaissance, for presenting on this week’s call. Dan’s organization has worked towards a more sustainable framework of development for manufacturers since 1982, and we are lucky to learn from his depth of expertise. Their mission is to advance inclusive sustainable development anchored in manufacturing.

Among many important topics that Dan raised in his presentation, one that stands out  is the ongoing challenge of business succession plans in small and mid-sized enterprises. We know this isn’t a new issue, but how can we within our ecosystems identify manufacturers at risk of closure due to having no solid succession plan, and come up with better strategies to avert unnecessary closures?

Manufacturing Renaissance is building a Federation in regions of the country with large manufacturing footprints. AMCC is glad to work in collaboration with Manufacturing Renaissance on a range of activities, including upcoming webinars co-presented by our organizations, the American Sustainable Business Network, The Century Foundation, The Steel Valley Authority on layoff and plant closure best practices. You can register for the upcoming webinars here.
