Thank you to Ivan Rosenberg, Founder and President of the Uniquely Abled Project, for joining this week’s Monday call and sharing their organization’s work to create vocational opportunities for the uniquely abled, such as individual with autism diagnoses, by matching their unique abilities to jobs in demand in advanced manufacturing!
The Uniquely Abled Project partners with community colleges and other training providers to deliver supplemental resources to expand pre-existing training programs to better serve individuals with autism. UAP also connects with local employers to demonstrate that not only do these individuals meet high levels of training quality, but that their unique abilities often make them the perfect fit for employer needs. These uniquely abled individuals often have exceptional abilities in visual and academic skills that when properly utilized make them productive, valuable contributors of the workforce.
The Uniquely Abled Project is currently in 12 states, and looking to expand. Are you a community college, or work in the workforce development ecosystem for manufacturing? Get in touch with Ivan and his colleague, Stephanie Riley, to learn how to implement UAP in your region.
