Special Presentation: DOE’s Industrial Assessment Center Opportunities

Thanks again to Clifton Yin from the Department of Energy’s Office of Manufacturing & Energy Supply Chains (MESC) for sharing exciting opportunities out of his office on this past week’s Monday call! Yin discussed the expanding scope of the Industrial Assessment Center (IAC) program, which is designed to assist manufacturers in assessing and enhancing the efficiency of their facilities. Participants were encouraged to access additional Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) details and to locate IACs in their regions to leverage these resources effectively.

Yin’s call to action emphasized the importance of utilizing these policy innovations to foster significant regional outcomes. He urged stakeholders to engage proactively by investigating available resources, networking with local IACs, convening discussions to spread awareness, and helping to implement these improvements across various manufacturing sectors. The goal is to make these efficiency improvements widespread, turning policy innovations into tangible, regionally relevant actions that benefit the manufacturing landscape.
