Accelerating the Future
of American Manufacturing

Regional stakeholders across the country have made meaningful progress in building manufacturing ecosystems, but progress remains "good but insufficient." Fragmented funding, overlapping agency programs, uneven data, and limited local capacity continue to slow the transformation we need.

The 2026 Manufacturing Momentum Summit Workshop brings together federal and regional leaders, workforce partners, and policy innovators to share strategies, compare evidence, and build the durable national structures that can deliver results at the speed and scale required.

This is an invitation-only convening co-hosted by AMCC and New America — limited to leaders actively shaping manufacturing ecosystems through consortia, policy, workforce development, and innovation.

The American Manufacturing Communities Collaborative (AMCC)

AMCC serves as the nation's Manufacturing Community of Practice and operates a network of regional leaders, federal partners, and workforce stakeholders working to advance locally-led, federally-supported manufacturing initiatives. Since its formation, AMCC has been the convening backbone for place-based economic development consortia with a priority manufacturing focus.

New America — Future of Work & Innovation Economy Initiative

New America's Future of Work and Innovation Economy Initiative conducts research, convenes stakeholders, and develops policy at the intersection of workforce development, technology, and regional economic growth. The initiative brings analytical rigor and national perspective to the challenges facing manufacturing communities across the country.
