Special Presentation: Why Fewer Young Americans are Working in Manufacturing
Thanks again to our our friends at the Urban Institute’s WorkRise program for joining this past week’s call. Kemi Odumosu and the team at WorkRise have recently released a report containing insights from their young workers in manufacturing survey to better understand challenges in attracting and retaining young people in the sector. Their findings include the need for meaningful work, predictable and flexible schedules, safety, and career advancement.
